The Branch Faculty of information technology of Polish-Japanese Institute of Information Technology located in Bytom has been operating since 2003. It offers undergraduate engineer studies in computer science and post-graduate studies in Databases and Their applications.
All courses are at present offered only in Polish. Our students participate in a special English language programme aimed at preparing them for the examinations of LCCI.

Computer science
Full-time studies last 7 semesters and part-time studies (extramural) 8 semesters.
During the first three semesters students gain general orientation in the fundamental areas of computer science. Later they choose one of the following majors:
- Databases;
- Computer networks;
- Internet applications;
- Multimedia.

Computer Arts
The programme run jointly by the Bytom Branch Faculty of PJIIT and the Academy of Fine Arts is similar to its equivalent offered at the Warsaw campus of PJIIT.

CISCO Academy
In 2005 we launched CISCO Network Academy which offers courses preparing for the examination for CCNA - Cisco Certified Networking Associate.

Facilities
The Bytom Branch Faculty of Information Technology of PJIIT is located in a historical building dating back to the early 20th century. Thanks to its location in the city centre, it is easily accessible by public transport.
Lecture rooms and computer laboratories are furnished with state-of-the-art equipment. Students have at their disposal computers connected to the internet (one computer per one student). New specialized laboratories are added every year.
